    In 2008 we set out to solve one of the largest headaches that K-Series swaps presented. What do you do about the OEM RSX plastic shifter? Well, after a few months of designing and prototyping, we created the very first Bolt-In K-Series swap shifter. Nearly ten years and thousands of shifters later, we have the latest evolution of our innovative design.

    The Hybrid Racing Bolt-In K-Swap shifter allows you to retain the stock center console in your EF, EG, EK, & DC chassis and only requires two small holes to be drilled. It works with both stock DC5 shifter cables and the Hybrid Racing race cables. Our shifter has been race tested in cars all over the world. From California to England to Japan, racers all around the world choose our shifter not only for its reliability but for its ease of install and adjustability.

    The front/back throw can be adjusted to 3 different settings (100% stock throw, 75% stock throw, and 50% stock throw). The left/right throw can also be adjusted to 3 different settings (again, 100% stock throw, 75% stock throw, and 50% stock throw). The shift knob can be adjusted to up to 3 inches vertically, and the aluminum offset block can be rotated 360*. 

    CABLES

    The Hybrid Racing cables are a performance upgrade replacement for stock OEM cables. The solid rod ends, 30% thicker cable core and spherical bearings give the Hybrid Racing cables a firmer, tighter feel over OEM cables resulting in fewer missed shifts and a more connected feel to the chassis.

    We created a cable to give people peace of mind and improved driving performance when they shift hard and during demanding racing applications and the Hybrid Racing performance cables achieve this goal!

    Other notable features of the Hybrid Racing cables are spherical bearings, stainless steel push rods, and upgraded stainless steel swivel support tubes (oem are plastic) that are known to break on the OEM cables. All of the rod ends, and mounting bushings are CNC machined 6061 aluminum that have been heat-treated and coated with a black hard anodized before being laser etched with the Hybrid Racing logo and flair.

    Are these cables a direct replacement for my OEM RSX style cables?

    Yes! For RSX Chassis the only extra work that is needed will be to retrofit the original cable grommet onto the new HR cables. For K-Swap applications they run outside the car so no RSX grommet is necessary. The OEM cable that controls the right/left motion of the shifter has been upgraded from a plastic twist-lock bushing to aluminum bushings and spring clip. This aluminum bushing simplifies installation a bit, but more importantly, it gets rid of yet another plastic part that tends to flex on the OEM cables, leading to a sloppy feeling shift. The extra spring clip that you will need to install the Hybrid Racing cables is included with the cables, so you will not need to buy any other parts. An easy to follow installation tips sheet is included with each set of cables to make installation as worry-free as possible.

    Additional K-Swap notes:

    If you are using the Hybrid Racing cables on an OEM-style shifter mounted to a Karcepts adapter plate in a K-Swap chassis, you will need to widen the hole for the cable that is controlled by the front/back motion of the shifter where it goes through the Karcepts adapter plate. The hole needs to be widened to approximately 3/4" diameter. A stepped drill bit works well for doing this.

    What is included with these shifter cables?

    Aside from 2 shifter cables, each shifter cable set includes 4 cotter pins and an "m" bracket for affixing the shifter cables to the chassis in K swap applications. If you are mounting these into an RSX, this bracket will not be needed. In addition, all shifter cable sets come with upgraded transmission gear selector springs. These aren't required but are recommended.

  • What chassis is this shifter compatible with?

    The Hybrid Racing K Swap Bolt-In Short Shifter is compatible with the following chassis:

    1988-1991 Honda CRX
    1988-2000 Honda Civic 
    1992-1997 Honda Del Sol 
    1989-2001 Acura Integra 

    If your car was equipped with an automatic shifter you will need to cut off the factory auto shifter cable bracket that is welded inside of the shift tunnel. Once you do that the installation is the same as a manual trans chassis. 

    Which K-Series transmissions are compatible with this shifter?

    This shifter is compatible with transmissions from the following vehicles.

    - 01-06 JDM Integra Type R (Y2M3)
    - 01-05 JDM Civic Type R (NPR3)
    - 02-04 RSX Type-S (X2M5)
    - 02-06 UKDM/EDM Civic Type R (NPQ3)
    - 02-06 Base RSX (W2M5)
    - 05-06 RSX Type S (NSN4)

If by any chance, your package that has been delivered by the carrier is lost/stolen, YOU (THE BUYER) are responsible for working with the carrier and us, Tri-State Motorsports to recover your package. You must contact us and the shipping company within 48 hours of delivery for lost/damage claims. You are covered by the basic insurance amount APPROVED by the shipping center. We DO NOT refund or reship product for claims that are denied by the shipping company.

How Does Route Work?

If your Route-protected order ends up lost, damaged, or stolen, Route's expert support team helps ensure that your order gets replaced or refunded as preferred. Claims will be reviewed for approval within 1-2 business days form filing.

How Does Route Process Refunds or Reorders?

Refunds: When refunding an item, Route covers the subtotal, shipping, and taxes.

In both cases, the Route Premium cost will not be refunded.

Reorders: Route will reorder the items, depending on in-stock availability. Unavailable items will be refunded. Route will cover the cost of any reorders including shipping, taxes, and Route Shipping Protection.

When Should I File a Claim?

Stolen (or any package that has been marked as delivered but your customer cannot locate)

  • Your customers have up to 30 days from when the package was marked as delivered to file a claim. Claims will not be approved before 5 days after the package has been marked as delivered giving the carrier time to "actually" drop off the package or for neighbors to return it in the case that it was delivered to the wrong address.

Stuck in Transit (Lost)

  • Your customers have up to 30 days to file a claim.
  • Domestic packages are not considered lost until after the 7th day without a tracking update.
  • International packages are not considered lost until after the 20th day without a tracking update.

Damaged

  • Your customers have up to 30 days to file a claim after the package has been marked as delivered.
  • For damage claims, we do require photo evidence of damage so we can verify that the product was actually damaged.

What if My Order Never Arrives, Is Stolen, or Arrives Damaged?

When will my product ship out?

Unless the product is manufactured by Tri-State Motorsports or TSM Race, ALL Warranties go through the Manufacturer directly. Please visit their official website and get in contact with them in regards to your warranty. We will supply you with any invoice or tracking information the manufacturer asks you for. We also offer Route Protection shipping insurance.
